DONT TRESPASS
DON'T TRESPASS
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel. You are to worship at a distance, [2] but Moses alone is to approach the Lord; the others must not come near. And the people may not come up with him.” Exodus 24:1-2
God had invited Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and indeed seventy of the elders of Israel to come up to Him. But they were to stand at a distance. Moses alone was to come near God.
Remember, ALL were invited by the Lord God Himself. But, to come close in an intimate fellowship was only given to Moses.
God has shown to these men clearly the limit and boundary of their call. They are God's appointed and His spokesmen but only that they must know the limit and scope of their anointing.
Seriously, as children of God, we would go far and deep in the spiritual journey only if we would obey the scope of our anointing and influence. To think you have power to do everything is the begining of ones fall.
Without doubt, God has given each of us the scope of our influence through the ministry of the gifts of the Spirit. And our relationship with God is more deeper and intimate than one another not just because we do not pay the spiritual sacrifices to enjoy them. But because of God's mercy.
Be guided friend. Don't go beyond the scope of your position and status. Whether in the office, public position or holding spiritual appointment. Don't fake anything. Stay within your boundary until there is greater call.
Take this beautiful instruction from Jesus:
“When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited. [9] If so, the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, 'Give this person your seat.' Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place. [10] But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, 'Friend, move up to a better place.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests. [11] For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” Luke 14:8-11
