RE: IS THE STORY OF ALHAJI WASIU AYINDE BARRISTER'S CONVERSION TO CHRISTIANITY REALLY TRUE?
"But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God." - Romans 2:29
Since my previous write-up on the above subject, I have received several mixed feedbacks, especially from Christians. Some were ecstatic, praising God for doing such a wondrous thing. However, others opined that such an acclaimed conversion is nothing but a business tactic. They argued that his affiliation with the Celestial Church indicates that he is merely religious and pretentious about his faith in Christ. This group believes that the Celestial Church is not a place to find a true Christian. (Please, wait before you start casting aspersions on anyone.)
Meanwhile, as fate would have it, I have been drawn to several of Wasiu Ayinde's songs on TikTok. I am still wondering why I consistently stumble upon his songs even though I do not follow his handle. I can only hope I will not be tempted to start playing his songs for spiritual pleasure. However, I can tell you from my remote observations that this man is serious about his conviction. He seems ready to prove to the entire world that life in Christ is good and worth dying for.
Let me address some ostentatious issues in your heart regarding this man's faith confession. First, it would be wrong to claim that he is not truly converted simply because he is a member of the Celestial Church. I have closely followed the activities of some preachers in the church, such as Prophet Aluko. This man, along with many others, carries fire and is already lighting up this church. Several silent spiritual labors are taking place in the church, which support the belief that the Celestial Church will produce great men of God who will contend earnestly for the faith delivered unto us.
Second, Wasiu Ayinde is a Fuji musician, and through this, he supports himself and his family (or at least, he is supposed to). His average fans are people outside the church corridors. The courage he has to announce his faith publicly is something worth serious contemplation. In the same vein, several of his recent songs are infused with Christian hymns and themes. Even in gatherings of Muslims and traditionalists who hired him, he courageously played his Christian hymns without fear of intimidation.
Although I may not have sufficient evidence regarding this man's conversion, I believe he has encountered the light in Christ and is ready to proclaim this anywhere, even if invited to perform in Saudi Arabia (the stronghold of Islamic faith). More than ever before, he is exalting Christ through his music (somewhat to the detriment of his music lovers but to the pleasure of his Savior, Jesus Christ).
If a man of his status and involvement in the Islamic faith can come out to say he belongs to Christ, he is truly saved and has entered into an undisputed light in Christ.
As I continue my remote research into his conviction, my prayer is that he will not wane or succumb to the fearful challenges posed by the enemy. He will stand firm and, in the end, be found worthy of reigning with Christ.

He is at least very not far from the kingdom of heaven. Confession is a milestone. May God keep him and make him see the Calvary clearly and dearly.
