WHEN YOU BREAK YOUR VISION
WHEN YOU BREAK YOUR VISION
Meanwhile, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon, a man who had previously had leprosy. While he was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard. She broke open the jar and poured the perfume over his head. Some of those at the table were indignant. “Why waste such expensive perfume?” they asked. “It could have been sold for a year’s wages and the money given to the poor!” So they scolded her harshly.
Mark 14:3-5.
The woman here took what was precious unto her and what was sufficient to pay a year's wages, broke and pour it on Jesus's head. It was so expensive that most of those around took offense in such audacious act. Presumably, each of them kept hidden what was precious to them somewhere.
Don't forget, it was this indignation that led Judas Iscariot (one of Jesus's disciples) to aligned with the religious leaders to betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.
Do you remember the attendant result when Joseph broke his dreams to his brothers? (They all agreed he must die). Do you how his father reacted to his dreams? (And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? Genesis 37:10 KJV)
One of our greatest enemies in life are those with whom and in whose presence we break (share) our vision. They reasoned within themselves why we must carry such superior and excellent thought about ourselves. They asked themselves, why do we think like somebody from.the celestial realm.
Listen, they will do everything to frustrate your plan.
But through Christ, you will surely be victorious. Amen
