OH LORD, DON'T ALLOW EVIL WORKERS USE ME TO GAIN PROMOTION.

It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword. When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread. After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover. So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. Acts 12:1-5. 


In the spiritual and physical realm, no one assume a higher position until he has accomplished a set of task, excel and win some battles. Even our Lord Jesus was only exalted when has fought and conquered: 


"Instead he gave up everything and became a slave, when he became like one of us. Christ was humble. He obeyed God and even died on a cross. Then God gave Christ the highest place and honored his name above all others" Philippians 2:7-9 


"God wiped out the charges that were against us for disobeying the Law of Moses. He took them away and nailed them to the cross. There Christ defeated all powers and forces. He let the whole world see them being led away as prisoners when he celebrated his victory" Colossians 2:14-15


The race to the top in life has been very strict, tedious, competitive and rigorous. This top place has few vacancy. Only those who persistent and constantly win assume this place. 


Herod had laid his contrary hands against the church. He started by killing James. And what he did get in return? APPROVAL. RECOGNITION. COMMENDATION. PREFERMENT. MORE LOYALIST. This evil man used James to earn greater respect and love from his wild people of Jews. Obviously, this singular act earned him more respect and reverence from the people. Therefore, he desired more accolade. As a result of this, he returned back and took Peter. Oh, the church wake up from her slumber, and "...was earnestly praying to God for him". 


Diplomacy would not pacify Herod. Strike and protest cannot intimidate him. He would not attend to reconciliation meeting. He was born and bred from the family of the wicked. He was an unrepentant savage killer. The church can only this deal with this wicked man through her only potent tool, PRAYER. OH LORD, DON'T ALLOW EVIL WORKERS USE ME TO GAIN PROMOTION.


I have noticed many undaunted traits of the evil workers: 


1. Evil workers are mostly unrepentant and therefore never succumb to intimidation


2. Evil workers don't respect anybody. Not even Jesus Christ our Lord. The devil tried him severally. 


3. Evil workers don't give up easily and they can spend years watching, calculating and trailing on their target. Read about the tenacity of Delilah on Samson. 


4. Evil workers can spend and dispatch anything to gain access on their target. Sixteen (16) soldiers were attached to watch Apostle Peter from escaping. Judas was paid handsomely to betray Jesus. Delilah has a promise of eleven hundred pieces of silver from  each of the lord of the Philistines to study Samson's strength. Balak agreed that he will do whatever Balaam asked him to do if he will curse the people of Israel. Even after Jesus has been buried the religious leaders asked Pilate to set soldiers to watch him from being raised from the dead as has promised. 


5. Evil workers has lineage. Every Herod (the father and the whole lineage) you read in the Bible are wicked and callous. 


Brethren, "...Violent enemies are hiding in every dark corner of the earth" Psalm 74:20. Don't allow them gain access into your life. Pray Now. And pray earnestly. Ask the Lord never to allow the wicked rule the godly, lest the godly be forced to do wrong.Psalm 125:3


It shall be your winning month. Amen.

I woke up this morning reading a lot of social media posts about the selected dates and days for the ORO festival in the part of the country where I live. RE: IS THE STORY OF ALHAJI WASIU AYINDE BARRISTER'S CONVERSION TO CHRISTIANITY REALLY TRUE?

Some were ecstatic, praising God for doing such a wondrous thing. However, others opined that such an acclaimed conversion is nothing but a business tactic. They argued that his affiliation with the Celestial Church indicates that he is merely religious and pretentious about his faith in Christ.  The children of Israel came into the Land of Promise as a conglomerate of twelve tribes. They needed unity to reach that point. But once they arrived in Canaan, each tribe had to take possession of its own inheritance. What you take is what you get.
