ALL THINGS ARE YOURS


 "He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?" — Romans 8:32


The greatest proof of God's love is not found in the abundance of earthly possessions but in the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. If God did not withhold His beloved Son for our redemption, we can rest assured that He will also graciously supply everything necessary to accomplish His purpose for our lives (2 Peter 1:3; Philippians 4:19).


Yet, while God freely gives, many believers never enter into the fullness of what He has prepared for them. The limitation is often not in God's willingness to provide but in our unwillingness to believe, obey, ask, persevere, and possess by faith.


Disappointment, fear, painful experiences, delayed answers to prayer, and the pressures of life can cloud our vision until we begin to doubt God's generosity. Such experiences often build invisible walls that prevent us from seeing the vast inheritance already secured for us in Christ (Ephesians 1:3, 18-19).


The God who gave His only begotten Son will never withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). His plans toward us are good, intended to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). However, many of His promises are experienced only by those who respond in faith, obedience, and persistent prayer.


Two striking biblical accounts illustrate the seriousness with which men keep costly commitments.


In Matthew 14:1-11, King Herod rashly promised to grant the request of Herodias' daughter because he was pleased with her dance. Influenced by her mother, she demanded the head of John the Baptist. Though Herod was distressed, he fulfilled his oath rather than withdraw his promise.


Likewise, in 2 Kings 3:26-27, the king of Moab offered his own firstborn son as a burnt sacrifice in a desperate attempt to secure deliverance for his kingdom.


These examples do not commend their actions—they were tragic and sinful—but they remind us of something greater: if sinful men would go to such lengths to fulfil their own purposes, how much more can we trust the faithfulness of our righteous God, who willingly gave His own Son for our salvation? God's promises are infinitely more trustworthy than the words of earthly rulers (Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2).


Jesus Himself declared:


"Which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?... If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" — Matthew 7:9-11


Notice the condition: Ask.


God delights in answering believing prayer. Jesus continued:


"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." — Matthew 7:7


Heaven's storehouse is not closed, but many fail to receive because they neither ask nor continue seeking with faith (James 4:2; Luke 18:1).


The tragedy of Judges 1 reveals another reason believers fail to enjoy God's promises.


God declared:


"Judah shall go up; behold, I have given the land into his hand." — Judges 1:2


Yet later we read:


"The LORD was with Judah... but they could not drive out the inhabitants of the plain because they had chariots of iron." — Judges 1:19


God had already given the victory, yet Judah allowed the sight of iron chariots to overshadow the promise of God. Their fear became their limitation.


Benjamin also failed to drive out the Jebusites (Judges 1:21). Ephraim, Zebulun, Asher, Naphtali, and Dan likewise left the enemies in the land (Judges 1:29-36). Again and again, God had spoken, yet His people settled for partial obedience and incomplete possession.


The problem was not God's inability but Israel's unbelief and compromise.


Many Christians live the same way today. They are redeemed but defeated; called but hesitant; blessed but spiritually impoverished because they stop where God intended them to advance.


God has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). He has opened before us doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). He has promised treasures hidden in secret places (Isaiah 45:3). He has called us to proclaim His glory among the nations and to become "oaks of righteousness" (Isaiah 61:1-11).


Our responsibility is not to manufacture God's promises but to believe them, obey them, pray over them, and courageously possess what He has already promised.


There is no room for presumption, complacency, or fear. Faith is not pretending that obstacles do not exist; faith is trusting that God's promise is greater than every obstacle.


Conclusion


The greatest tragedy is not that God has withheld His blessings but that His people often fail to lay hold of what He has already provided through Christ. Let us repent of unbelief, fear, compromise, prayerlessness, and spiritual complacency. Let us cast aside every excuse that has limited our walk with God.


The cross is the everlasting evidence that God is for us. Since He did not spare His own Son, we have every reason to trust Him completely. Therefore, arise in faith, seek the Lord with all your heart, ask according to His will, and possess every spiritual inheritance He has prepared for you.


May we never settle for less than God's purpose for our lives.


"Arise, walk through the land... for I will give it to you." — Genesis 13:17

 LEAVE MR. LOT ALONE  Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there. The days of Terah were 205 years, and Terah died in Haran. Genesis 11:31-32 Apparently, Terah; Abram's father must have had some inner conviction and personal drive to leave the Ur of Chaldeans. He thought of the Canaan as the best destination. And obviously, he told his brethren he was going to Canaan. Unfortunately, he was unable to make it to his desired place. You know the situation when your expectations lie below your situation. The reality contradicts the dreams. Circumstances must have led him to settle for Haran. Sincerely, most people die in Haran on their way to Canaan. Ask most Israelites who left Egypt. If we could ask Moses, we would realise that the road to Canaan would consume most of the way...
