YEAR 2023...LORD, LET YOUR WILL BE DONE.

Let me greet you Happy New Year 2023. 


How're you plan looking like this year? Terrific, awesome, mouthwatering, immaculate?


Can I ask you a question? 


Do you plan for distruption to your plan? Not really, you answered. 


"And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men". Matthew 4:18-19. That was a great distruption. It wasn't part of their plan for the day. They simply wanted to catch fish, returned home and come back another scheduled time. But God's plan for their lives were conspicuously different. James and John experienced the same and so was Matthew who was made to resigned from his government appointment while probably he was thinking and planning for twenty (20 ) and more years.


In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord says: "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope". It is clear that, God has His own eternal plan for us that may in a way clearly different from our present choice and decisions. Paul recognized this in Galatians 1:13-16: "You know what I was like when I followed the Jewish religion-how I violently persecuted God's church. I did my best to destroy it. I was far ahead of my fellow Jews in my zeal for the traditions of my ancestors. But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him to reveal his Son to me so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles. When this happened, I did not rush out to consult with any human being". 


Paul was fortunate to have realized that, there was an eternal plan for him that was different from his present choice and pursuit. And without resistance, he bowed to the will of the Master. 


As we navigate through this year, I want us to simply resolute: I CAN MAKE MANY PLANS, BUT THE LORD'S PURPOSE WILL PREVAIL. Proverbs 19:21


Happy New year 2023...The will of the Lord be done over our lives. In Jesus' name.

I woke up this morning reading a lot of social media posts about the selected dates and days for the ORO festival in the part of the country where I live. ORO is a secluded cultic 'religious' activity. Traditionally, it involves mature males and initiated participants. Women are forever banned from witnessing it, except for hearing it from inside (ETI L'OBIRIN FI NGBO OHUN ORO). Nobody reveals the activities in public. You keep what you see and know to yourself. Nobody exchanges pleasantries about what happened the day before in public. During this time, men do all they can, including appearing like the first Adam in the garden. The absence of women grants men the freedom to engage in reckless behavior. A few days ago, I was shown a TikTok live coverage of an ORO festival in a certain part of the country. Oh! Some were ecstatic, praising God for doing such a wondrous thing. However, others opined that such an acclaimed conversion is nothing but a business tactic. They argued that his affiliation with the Celestial Church indicates that he is merely religious and pretentious about his faith in Christ. This group believes that the Celestial Church is not a place to find a true Christian. (Please, wait before you start casting aspersions on anyone.) Meanwhile, as fate would have it, I have been drawn to several of Wasiu Ayinde's songs on TikTok. TAKE YOUR MOUNTAINS. NEVER GIVE EXCUSES.

 The children of Israel came into the Land of Promise as a conglomerate of twelve tribes. They needed unity to reach that point. But once they arrived in Canaan, each tribe had to take possession of its own inheritance. What you take is what you get. At this stage, collective effort would not suffice—each tribe needed to claim and secure its portion for future generations. God had already given clear instructions regarding what must be possessed: “For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off...
