THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST: BRIDGING GENERATIONAL GAP.

I just returned from our GoodNews Children Club outreach to Moumou village, République du Bénin. 


This particular outreach is targeted at reaching out to the children in the particular rural settler of Benin République. Sincerely, our focus and preparation were towards the teeming children populace in this village. But it turned out that adults equally attended and took active part in almost all the activities of the 2 Day program. 


Ultimately, our aim is to lead these children to Christ. Surprisingly, the adult took over the stage as they rushed out to surrendered themselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. 


How can we explain to these adults that we have come with exclusive program for the children when in truth, God has equally prepared the hearts of these men and women to receive the words of life. 


The truth is this, whether a program is designed exclusively for men, women, aged, adult or children once it is the gospel of Christ it remains the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes. 


Whether your focus on children, men, women, adult or certain age group, the truth is this, the gospel is God's power unto salvation. And the entrance of it gives light and grants understanding unto the simple. 


Occupy till He comes.

I woke up this morning reading a lot of social media posts about the selected dates and days for the ORO festival in the part of the country where I live. ORO is a secluded cultic 'religious' activity. Traditionally, it involves mature males and initiated participants. Some were ecstatic, praising God for doing such a wondrous thing. However, others opined that such an acclaimed conversion is nothing but a business tactic. They argued that his affiliation with the Celestial Church indicates that he is merely religious and pretentious about his faith in Christ.  The children of Israel came into the Land of Promise as a conglomerate of twelve tribes. They needed unity to reach that point. But once they arrived in Canaan, each tribe had to take possession of its own inheritance. What you take is what you get. At this stage, collective effort would not suffice—each tribe needed to claim and secure its portion for future generations. God had already given clear instructions regarding what must be possessed: “For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off...
