 LIVING WITHOUT STRESS


They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. 


We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 1 John 4:5-6


Recently, I was discussing with my wife on various Christian principles against the deviations to those principles that we are witnessing in the church today. We cited a church or two whose congregations haven't surge in the past 10 years or more of their establishment. Of course, these are the finest Christian congregations around with sound biblical principles. But they aren't growing in population. What is/was their sin(s) or errors? It is simply that they are adhering strictly to the Biblical principles. For instance, in those congregations, there is no seasonal adult or children harvest where thousands of money are raised and syphoned from people's purse in the name of greater blessings. There are no conferment of chieftancy titles and award ceremonies where money is the focus. No choir festival, founder’s day ceremony and other ceremonies whose focuses are to raise money (Don't pretend you don't know this is the case in our churches today: organising programmes and activities without any spiritual significance that may bring men to Christ!). Seriously, true Christian life whose focus is heaven cannot be built on these ephemeral principles. Yet, many pastors relish in the fact of having and sustaining more members through these crooked paths. And, those who don't follow the trend continue to have men leave their congregation to go and socialise where THINGS ARE HAPPENING in wordly terms. 


My sickly soul fumbled through the above passage and I got heated up immediately:


"They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them" 


The world only listens to those who speaks their language and in its terms. The world understands clearly that which promotes its tenet of faith and practises. They give credence to their ambassadors and give them every support to make them look gay in this world, sometimes to essentially provoke the righteous to join their company. 


"We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us." 


Only those who are of God listen to us. They are seriously likely to be few. They can't listen to us except they KNOW God. 


And, this is the best way to understand the SPIRIT OF TRUTH and SPIRIT OF ERROR. 


Who are the people listening to you sirs/mas? 


What do people praise you for? Speaking the word in the Spirit of Truth or organising a great Adult Harvest with bountiful income? 


Watch it: Do your principles lead men to Christ?


The Spirit of Truth and those who listen to us cut across every business and works of life that Christian engage in.


Understanding this principle makes us to live WITHOUT STRESS in this life. 


Remember brethren, Jesus says “Be careful and guard against all kinds of greed. People do not get life from the many things they own.” - Luke 12:15

I woke up this morning reading a lot of social media posts about the selected dates and days for the ORO festival in the part of the country where I live. ORO is a secluded cultic 'religious' activity. Traditionally, it involves mature males and initiated participants. Women are forever banned from witnessing it, except for hearing it from inside (ETI L'OBIRIN FI NGBO OHUN ORO). Nobody reveals the activities in public. You keep what you see and know to yourself. Nobody exchanges pleasantries about what happened the day before in public. During this time, men do all they can, including appearing like the first Adam in the garden. RE: IS THE STORY OF ALHAJI WASIU AYINDE BARRISTER'S CONVERSION TO CHRISTIANITY REALLY TRUE?

Some were ecstatic, praising God for doing such a wondrous thing. However, others opined that such an acclaimed conversion is nothing but a business tactic. They argued that his affiliation with the Celestial Church indicates that he is merely religious and pretentious about his faith in Christ. TAKE YOUR MOUNTAINS. NEVER GIVE EXCUSES.

 The children of Israel came into the Land of Promise as a conglomerate of twelve tribes. They needed unity to reach that point. But once they arrived in Canaan, each tribe had to take possession of its own inheritance. What you take is what you get.
