TIME AND SEASON CHANGE

Even the most esteemed and godly institution in the world--marriage, sometimes ended up in divorce when sexual and personal gratification must have been achieved. 

Exodus 1:8-10:  EVENTUALLY, A NEW KING CAME TO POWER IN EGYPT WHO KNEW NOTHING ABOUT JOSEPH OR WHAT HE HAD DONE. He said to his people, "Look, the people of Israel now outnumber us and are stronger than we are. We must make a plan to keep them from growing even more. If we don't, and if war breaks out, they will join our enemies and fight against us. Then they will escape from the country."

Joseph used all his youthful and precious life serving the Egyptian government. He served faithfully and broke record. It is unthinkable that any king would assume power in Egypt without knowing or read about Joseph's outstanding feat in Egypt. 

Alas, that's the situation of our transient world. The favour, support, grace, love and covering we enjoy from others may be short-lived.

God deliberately made the world in such manner that all may learn that: 

√ It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in people. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.Psalm 118:8-9

√ Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD. Jeremiah 17:5

√ What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help, trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers and depending on the strength of human armies instead of looking to the LORD, the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 31:1.

Mind you, God can raise people for our help. But if that ceased, never be discouraged. Keep trusting Him alone. For, He has a better plan. 

May your expectations never be cut short. Amen.

I woke up this morning reading a lot of social media posts about the selected dates and days for the ORO festival in the part of the country where I live. ORO is a secluded cultic 'religious' activity. Traditionally, it involves mature males and initiated participants. Women are forever banned from witnessing it, except for hearing it from inside (ETI L'OBIRIN FI NGBO OHUN ORO). Nobody reveals the activities in public. You keep what you see and know to yourself. Nobody exchanges pleasantries about what happened the day before in public. During this time, men do all they can, including appearing like the first Adam in the garden. The absence of women grants men the freedom to engage in reckless behavior. A few days ago, I was shown a TikTok live coverage of an ORO festival in a certain part of the country. Oh! Some were ecstatic, praising God for doing such a wondrous thing. However, others opined that such an acclaimed conversion is nothing but a business tactic. They argued that his affiliation with the Celestial Church indicates that he is merely religious and pretentious about his faith in Christ. This group believes that the Celestial Church is not a place to find a true Christian. (Please, wait before you start casting aspersions on anyone.) TAKE YOUR MOUNTAINS. NEVER GIVE EXCUSES.

 The children of Israel came into the Land of Promise as a conglomerate of twelve tribes. They needed unity to reach that point. But once they arrived in Canaan, each tribe had to take possession of its own inheritance. What you take is what you get. At this stage, collective effort would not suffice—each tribe needed to claim and secure its portion for future generations. God had already given clear instructions regarding what must be possessed: “For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off...
